One person has died and two others are fighting for their lives after a car crashed into a tree in Melbourne.
Emergency services were called to Ballarat Road in Braybrook, in Melbourne’s west, about 1.05pm on Sunday.
The driver of the car died at the scene and has not yet been officially identified.
Their two companions were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The police are clarifying the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The deaths take Victoria’s annual road toll to 138, compared with 144 at the same time last year.
